Lens Installation Service — Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before booking our lens installation service. By purchasing this service and sending us your frame, you agree to the terms below.
1. Service Description
SunberryRx installs prescription lenses purchased through SunberryRx into frames that you own and supply ("customer-supplied frames"). This service is available to customers who have ordered or are ordering prescription lenses through SunberryRx.
The service fee covers professional lens installation, quality inspection, and insured return shipping.
2. Frame Eligibility
Not every frame can safely accept new lenses. SunberryRx reserves the right to decline installation if, upon inspection, a frame is:
- Structurally damaged, cracked, or warped
- Too worn to hold lenses securely
- Incompatible with the ordered lens type or size
- Determined to be a counterfeit or unauthorized reproduction
If we cannot proceed, we will contact you and your frame will be returned to you unworked.
3. Photo Documentation & Arrival Inspection
Before shipping your frame, you agree to complete our pre-ship form, including photos of your frame showing its current condition (front, both sides, and any existing wear).
Upon arrival, we inspect and photograph every frame and compare it against your submission. This protects both parties by establishing the frame's condition before any work begins.
If your frame arrives in significantly worse condition than declared, we will contact you before proceeding. If we cannot reach you within 5 business days, your frame will be held and returned at your expense. SunberryRx is not responsible for pre-existing damage or wear documented at arrival.
4. Our Coverage While Your Frame Is in Our Care
We handle every frame with professional care. In the unlikely event of accidental damage during the installation process, we will replace your frame with the same model. If an identical replacement is not available, we will reimburse you for the cost of the frame up to a maximum of $300.00.
Our total liability for any customer-supplied frame is limited to replacement of the frame or reimbursement of up to $300.00, regardless of the frame's actual or claimed retail value.
This coverage applies only to damage that occurs in our facility during the installation process. If your frame is valued above $300, you accept this risk by sending it to us.
5. Shipping
We provide prepaid, insured shipping labels for your frame's trip to us and for the return trip to you. Your frame is covered in transit up to the declared value on the label.
You are responsible for packing your frame securely — please use a rigid box or hard case, never a padded envelope. Frames damaged in transit due to inadequate packaging may not be covered by carrier insurance.
6. Turnaround Time
Standard turnaround is 5 business days from the date your frame arrives at our facility. Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees, and may be affected by frame eligibility review, prescription verification, or carrier delays.
7. Workmanship Warranty — No Warranty on the Frame Itself
We warranty the quality of our lens installation workmanship. We do not warranty the frame itself.
We are not responsible for frame breakage that occurs after the frame has been returned to you, including breakage related to pre-existing wear or the natural aging of frame materials.
8. Abandoned Frames
Frames held due to eligibility issues or our inability to reach you will be considered abandoned after 30 days. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you before this occurs. Abandoned frames may be disposed of after this period.
9. Agreement
By purchasing the lens installation service and shipping your frame to SunberryRx, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
